Since our initial head shot promotion with Erika Ludwig in 2010, we have been busy working to ensure all current talent have updated head shots, and all new talent have their first great promotional piece. In order to do this, Wehmann and Erika Ludwig have been teaming up once per month for a full day of shooting fantastic head shots! If you are currently registered with the Wehmann Agency and do not have a current head shot, please consider taking advantage of this amazing opportunity. Details for the sessions are below, feel free to call our office at any time to schedule a time for your new head shot!
Location
Erika Ludwig Photography – 1500 Jackson Street NE, Suite 292 – Minneapolis, MN 55413
Please visit www.elphoto.net for a map and directions. Roads can get a bit tricky in that area of Northeast, so please print a map and directions before you leave the house! And, of course, leave yourself plenty of time to get there.
Payment options
You will receive a phone call one day prior to your scheduled session with Erika Ludwig. At that time, you will be given the option to pay over the phone with a credit card (Visa or Mastercard only).
If you prefer a different form of payment, cash or check will be accepted at the time of your shoot. Please make checks payable to the Wehmann Agency and write the talent name in the memo line.
Hair and makeup
We have hired a hair and makeup artist to be on set for all talent. Please come with your hair the way you would like it in your head shot. The hair and makeup artist will make adjustments the hair as necessary.
Women and older teens should apply their foundation/powder and mascara prior to arrival. The artist will apply all other makeup.
Everyone should also consider using teeth whitening strips before their shoot. You would hate for a beautiful shot to be ruined by stained or yellowing teeth!
Wardrobe
It is important that you bring 7-10 different wardrobe options to your shoot. Erika will work with you to find the best option.
PLEASE BRING YOUR CLOTHING ON HANGERS (preferably in a garment bag). You will not be able to iron anything at your shoot, so all clothing options should be wrinkle-free when you arrive.
Please read the “Styling for a head shot session” category of our blog carefully! We have posted suggestions for talent of all ages and have included photo examples for your reference. Please also consider visiting Erika’s blog as she offers extremely valuable advice for preparing for your session (plus, you’ll get a glimpse at some of her work!) What to expect at your shoot
First of all, expect to get an amazing shot! You are going to have a great time shooting with Erika. She is incredibly talented and extremely dedicated to making your photo session as comfortable and fun as possible.
Please arrive at your scheduled time! Do not show up early as you will only spend that time sitting, waiting, and crowding the studio space. At the same time, those of you who arrive late to your shoot should expect less time in front of the camera.
It may be a good idea to bring something to do or read, especially for kids. As with any appointment, you may have to wait a few minutes before your session.
Per the above, you will have the opportunity to consult with Erika about your wardrobe prior to shooting. It is important to know that if you come wearing something you and Erika both love, you may not end up trying any of your other options.
At the conclusion of your shoot, you will review your images with Erika and/or her assistant, Kelly. Together, you will choose the final image to appear on the Wehmann website. We are excited to give our talent input in the selection process and are confident that together with Erika, you will choose a shot that we are excited to put to use!
If you have any questions about the process, please feel free to call an agent at any time!
